Groundwater Purge Pumps

Reliability is crucial for the successful purging of ground water bores. Our pumps are designed for simplicity and easy automatic operation using an air supply. Designed to handle turbid water, our purge pumps will ensure that your ground water bore is ready to sample.

The AutoPumps (AP) are designed to withstand aggressive well environments with high temperatures and highly corrosive fluids without the problem of material breakdown or failure. Available in Stainless Steel 316, Viton, and other special (site specific) materials, the centre piece of these systems, the 100 mm AutoPump, can pass particles as large as 3 mm (1/8”) without problems.

Each AutoPump is controller-less and runs automatically, only turning on when there is sufficient water in the bore and not consuming any air during off cycles, saving energy costs. There are no surface timers, bubblers, or bleeders. Everything to operate the system is built into the pump itself and is therefore down well and out of sight.

QED AP2 or Hammerhead Pump (44mm dia.) Bottom Filling
[requires compressed air source and tubing]

The AP2 is a tough pump for groundwater and leachate purging jobs. With flows to 9Lpm or 13,000L/per day, the pump is ideally suited to removing a lot of water from your 50mm bores. The Hammerhead runs on compressed air for ultimate reliability and safety...More

QED AP4 Pump (90mm dia.) Bottom/Top Filling
[requires compressed air source and tubing]

The AP4 total fluids pump is a mechanically operated, controllerless air lift pump used in 100mm (4”) diameter wells. It is designed to transfer fluids to the surface from depths of up to 61m. The pump is available in top or bottom loading configurations, allowing it to be used for pumping total fluids, dissolved phase, DNAPL and leachate. It has a pumping capacity of up to 40Lmin. This pumps provides level control. When the well level drops below the top of the pump, the pump stops cycling. It automatically restarts when the level rises again...More
